3 Yummy Healthy Ice Cream Recipes

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Summer has arrived and it is definitely ice cream season. Though ice cream is delicious, it’s packed with sugar and fat — which makes hitting those health goals a little bit harder. Good news is, you don’t have to give up ice cream entirely!! Introducing “nice cream”, a healthy alternative to your favorite refreshing dessert! We are bringing you 3 “nice cream” recipes that you gotta try!

This Texas heat is a scorcher! Now, if I could eat ice cream every day, I would… but that just isn’t logical. I signed up for the Superfoods Company “Slay the Summer” June Challenge and unfortunately, ice cream is not a part of my meal plan.

In addition, I’m pretty sure I would gain 50 pounds by the end of summer if I ate ice cream for all three meals. Nobody wants that!

Traditional ice cream contains 300 – 400 calories per average serving size!

Good news: I’m here to tell your sweet tooth that the day is saved! Let’s turn that ice cream into “nice cream” – a healthy ice cream alternative to your favorite dessert!

Ice Cream vs. “Nice Cream” (Healthy Ice Cream)

First, let me scare you into ditching the real ice cream. Like…really quick.

Ice cream is filled with sugar and fat that will cause your blood sugar levels to spike. This will leave you feeling super sleepy right after you eat it. If you are tracking calories, 1 scoop of ice cream is about the same amount as 1 small meal — and with way less nutrients!

Of course, it’s OK to indulge every once in a while. But if your sweet tooth is calling you a more than you wish it would, “nice cream” is an awesome alternative.

“Nice cream” has actually been around for years now. It’s an ice cream alternative that is dairy-free, fiber-filled, and super easy to make!
